  6. Hi Melvin,
I have created an account on the lic website and have enrolled policies in it. I made a combined payment for 3 policies (2 in my name and 1 in wife’s name) with a feature available on the lic website. But now I am in a soup as the payment receipt that was generated, is in my wife’s name. Now how do I claim a tax benefit on this?

    1. For making payment for wife’s policy, you have to create a separate profile for her and pay from it. Anyway, you can visit the nearest branch of LIC and request for a premium paid certificate to get tax benefit.

      1. LIC online website saying that we cannot make the payment for third party & clearly says that ‘you have to pay for your policy using online’. In this situation, is it possible for me to make payment for my spouse/children by using their login id but payment from my debit card / credit card / internet banking. Advance thanks for clarity.
